Fretboard diagrams - multiple colors

Until now I used alternative methods to display guitar fretboard diagrams.
Latest MS versions are good enough to get rid of it, but would be great bein able to change independently the colors of the symbold and the grid.
For example, I find more intellegible if I display the grid in gray, and the symbols in different colors (see attached example)
