tuplets

Hello again -
I'm doing something at the moment that needs crotchet triplets (ie 3 crotchets over a minim length). I've done this before, in my limited time with Musescore, with no problem. However this time, I put in a minim, and then do control-3, which gives me one crotchet and two crotchet rests. However, I cannot get it to put notes into the two rests - they resolutely remain as rests. I can carry on putting notes in after the tuplet, but those two rests will not change. Am I missing somethng really obvious?

I'm using 0.9.5 (because of a previous hiccup).

0.9.5 is not released. So you are using a prerelease. Which release number? The last prerelease is r1869. Check http://prereleases.musescore.org/windows

I can't reproduce using r1869 on windows Vista. Using the keyboard or the mouse I manage to do a quarter triplet.
Here is how I'm doing it.
If you still can't add a triplet following this, maybe it's your file. Can you share it by attaching it to a comment?
I've now got it to work - I really don't know how, or what I did/didn't do, as I had carefully been through all the steps before. I must have been doing something wrong.
