Tie between enharmonic notes

Sometimes, in printed music, you can see enharmonic notes (e.g. G# and Ab, or F and E#) tied. Sometimes even whole chords.

I think it would be interesting to be able to tie these notes by simply using "+".

P.S.1 Using slurs doesn't have the same visual result (because they're anchored to the stem ends, not the notes), and whole chords can't be tied at all. I know there are workarounds, but they don't work very well.

P.S.2 In the example below, selecting the F# in bar 1 and pressing "+" deletes the following Gb and puts another F# instead, an then it ties them.

It's not possible to do it in 2.0, but it is in 1.3, so I think my report is more appropriate.
