multiple instruments on the same staff

While separate staves for each of 4 vocal parts works. It really is not that complex reading 2 parts(voices/instruments) per staff - and is in some ways prefered over the previous for some genres. How would one implement 2 separate voices/instruments per staff with MuseScore?

Thank you for the reply. I apologize for overlooking this part of the handbook. It has led me to another question. Can I set the default voice for a staff - or do I always have to make voice 1 rests invisible? Can I default the displayed/printed color (not voice selection color) of notes for a given voice?

I assume your question about the default voice is because you are using voice 3 and 4 for the bass clef staff. The voices numbers in MuseScore start again with each staff. I recommend using voice 1 and 2 for both staves.
There is no built-in feature that allows you to change the print color of notes based on their voice. However it is probably possible to write a plugin that would do this.
