Lute Soundfont - Playing Unlisted Instruments in MuseScore?

Is there a way to play the soundfont of an unlisted instrument (not selectable in the list of instruments for creating a new score)? Lute and other historical music instruments, perhaps?

MuseScore tutorial videos

Just thought I'd let you know that I've created a couple of brief tutorial videos for MuseScore. They are part of a series titled Musescore in 10 easy steps and they'll cover the basics of score setup, the MuseScore screen, note entry etc. I'll be creating the remaining videos in the series in the near future as soon as I find the time! New instruments_es.xml from r2512

Hi!

A new translated instruments_??.xml file

Have fun!

Sound fonts for each instrument

I would love to have the possibility to assign a sf2 for each instrument on the score. Maybe selecting it on the wizard with an option to use a complete GM SF, or select each one. Or/and being able to do that on the mixer display.
It would be great to have VSTs too but y realize that it must be something really difficult to achieve. Being that MuseScore already plays GMSFs I thought this may be a more logical request.
(love MuseScore)

For 'Voice' instrument, MIDI playback sound can't be changed

On the 'voice' instrument, MIDI playback can not be changed from 'BrightPiano'. This means that it will not play for more than 1 or 2 beats, but what if you have 3 beats in a note or, in my case, 3 semibreves tied together.

Can they be given a full choice of playback sounds, so as to allow notes the full value???
