Soundfonts not working

Hello everyone, I posted this on the forum because it seems that some soundfonts are not working properly on my laptop.
I just downloaded the Squidfont (Orchestral) Soundfont and a soundfont called Symphonic Sounds.
The Squidfont one just plays string sounds only for every instrument and the Symphonic Sounds mixes up all the instruments (glockenspiel for example sounds like a flute).
I have tried General User and Concert Band and Aegean Symphonic Soundfonts and they work fine, but I cannot understand the problem those particular fonts have. It's a shame becuase they sound so good and I want to use them in a piece or two. Could anybody enlighten me?
