Barlines at Beginning of Measures
Is it possible to edit the barlines at the beginning of a measure? Whenever I add a barline it automatically goes to the end of the measure, and I cannot figure out how to add a double bar line at the beginning of some lines for a lead sheet I am making.

No, barlines at the beginning of a system are automatically generated (or not at all, depending on settings)
Click the beginning barline in the score, double-click the desired barline in the palette. Note there were some bugs with this prior to 3.1 beta, but it should work OK for a lead sheet even in current & older versions.

Oh really? I must have missed that then.
Edit: actually I can't get it to work, when I do the initial barline just vanishes (in 3.0.5)
Indeed seems to work in 3.1 Beta and latest master though

Oh yeah, I forgot - the bug fxed for 2.1 is that the initial barlines disappears for the top staff, so for a lead sheet, that's usually the only one :-). But it fixes itself on reload, so ultimately it does work even n 3.0.5.
