Extra Key signatures after transposing

I keyed in a song in 3 flats but when I transposed it to 5 flats the previous staff initial key signatures kept the signature as well as the new positions due to more space needed for the additional key signature size. Also, when I put it back into 3 flats, the key signatures were duplicated. (I mistakenly hit "Save" after transposing instead of "Save-As".)
