Adding a key signature change then undoing it doubles the number of accidentals in the key signature
I added a key change on my piece (from D to B), then deleted it and did Ctrl + Z to undo it and caused a 10 sharp key signature to appear as shown in the attached image.

After having deleted it Ctrl+Z should reinstate it
I can't reproduce (with 4.4.4 nor with the latest development build), exact steps needed.

Hmm, matches pretty much what I tried to reproduce it but couldn't
I can now though, using a grand staff rather than a single one
Or rather after having used a system break rather than relying on MuseScore's layout
So the apply/delete/restore key signature on 1st measure after a(n explicit) system break is the trigger
