Is there a Cajón in MS4? If not, then what is best way to mimic?
It's in the title. I'm wanting to transcribe the songs "Drag Racer" and "Dual Wielder" from Ace Combat 7, both of which primarily use cajón as the main percussive instrument. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYr6ckOUDqg and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFhAf2y1wAE )
As far as I can tell, there isn't a cajón anywhere in MuseScore 4's library (both in 4.4 and 4.5).
What would be the best instrument(s) to use to mimic a cajón? I need to somehow get a melding of sounds from snare and conga drums, I think, but I'm not sure. I haven't had the chance to experiment with it yet.
Alternatively, is there a GOOD cajón soundfont anywere?
Thanks in advance

To get a mix of snare and conga, have a snare line and a conga line and have them play the same rhythm. Be sure to pan them to the same position in the Mixer as well.
If that doesn't sound like a cajon, you'll have to try other instruments or combinations. Which? Dunno. You'll have to experiment.
Not a soundfont.

Ooh nice! Are these cajon samples compatible with MuseScore?

Yes. If you have Windows or Mac, install the free Decent Sampler VST3.
https://www.decentsamples.com/product/decent-sampler-plugin/
It will show in the Mixer under VST3.
You might need to tweak a bit the percussion map.

I'll definitely check this out and see if I can get it to work!
Simply having access to a cajon in musescore is gonna open up so many doors for me musically (first of which is gonna be the Ace Combat 7 soundtrack lmao)
