How to move staff text to where you want it
I have to use staff text like I did on previous versions. But when I move it slightly, it jumps to way up above on the page. How do I adjust it's position by hand?

Don't drag it with the mouse, use the properties tab

Update to version 4.5.2, it was a known issue in the previous version.

I did download that but it still did it. Any other ideas...do they have a phone number?

By "staff text" do you mean "Expression text"?
You can use that, uncheck "auto place", change the word the way you want, and drag it where you want it. It should stay. It has for me.
