how do I get more bars/lines per page?
Hi, how would I get more lines on to each page to reduce the number of overall pages? Thanks!

Explanation: this is a file imported from the MusicXML format. Very often, they come with unnecessary page breaks. In fact, the first time you import an XML file, it's a good idea to do the following: menu Format / Reset entire score to default layout. That's what I did with your file. After that, you're free to change things as you see fit.

It is good to reset the layout. But this score has other errors that are more serious.
For example, measures 8 and 9 are only played once, although the volta says 3rd and 4th.
And, measures 16 and 17 are never played, so the jump to the coda never takes place and neither does the jump to D.C.
I would correct it, but I have no idea what the author was thinking...
Read the entire section from the Handbook on "Formatting". Start with https://handbook.musescore.org/formatting/page-layout-concepts through to https://handbook.musescore.org/formatting/using-sections-for-multiple-m…. You will use bits and pieces of most/all of these Handbook sub-sections.
