Musescore 4.5.2 Mixer
Why there is not possible to assign a MIDI channel to selected part (instrument) as it was possible in older version e.g. Musescore 3. That fuction is very important especially working with notes and later on after exporting it into MIDI working with this file on synthesizers? Now after export to MIDI the channel assign is randorm and may happen that two or three parts are exported into one MIDI channel - what is of course totally wrong. Would you please restore that functionality to version 4?

Yeah - that's what we all know - the question is: can it be available in the next versions?

How should I have known what you know, when you didn't mention it?
Anyway: See that issue on GitHub, as far as I can tell it is not on the roadmap for 4.6. Or on any roadmap, for that matter...

No option in MuseScore Studio? Please create a new Pull Request on GitHub. ASAP, of course :D
Many people tend to forget that MuseScore Studio isn't a commercial software like Dorico or Sibelius.

FYI - ASAP = as soon as possible - it doesn't mean "immediate" or "just right now" - it would be much more polite just to answer e.g. " Sorry - we do not plan to implement this option in the future at all". Case closed - no more questions. Never met with such nasty answers as here.

Nobody on this thread here has the power to decide whether or when this will get implemented. We're all unpaid volunteers here.
I don't need this feature at all and it isn't my area of expertise, so I sure won't submit a PR.
But you might.

- I'll need that soon.
- ASAP.

Instead to look at the point of the request you all stick to the ASAP, great!

@adammus :: The point of the request was answered LONG ago. You just ignored it, or failed to notice. To point it out for you most carefully: see Jojo's post with timestamp of May 6, 2025 - 09:41.
IOW, "no".
And you are mistaken about the meaning of "ASAP". It is never polite. It is a demand or an order, used primarily by a boss giving instruction to their subordinate.

Not verbatim, but that's certainly the meaning.

I must admit that your nick here, "Muse3Score Polksa", has quite an official touch to it, IMHO too much of it, unless you in fact are the official MuseScore spokesman for Poland.

My nick is my private nick. What does that matter? It's some nick only.
Edit:
I updated my profile. "This is not an official MuseScore Poland profile" sounds good for me.
