Change the name of an instrument mid-song, but keep same staff?

Is there a way to change what an instrument is named midway through a song, but keep the same instrument (playback instrument) and keep the same staff?

I'm assuming I could just add a new instrument, copy-paste what I have written so far into a new instrument staff with the same properties, and name them differently on the score, just wondering if it's possible to sidestep all that and have a staff where the instrument is now named something different. My performers need to hand off an instrument mid-show so one can pick up a different instrument and I'd like the score to reflect that, so "F Guitar" becomes "R Guitar" or something similar.
