Trying to put an anacrusis bar at the beginning.
It advises online and in musescore book - that one has to go to Format- Style- and Measure Numbers - to sort this.
‘Measure Numbers’ does not exist. It is very very frustrating and stressful and time comsuming trying to learn off this. Can anyone explain what to do?

It is not clear which "book" you are referring, to. However, the online handbook https://handbook.musescore.org/ is written using US terminology. "Measure" is the term used in the US for what we in Britain call a "bar". If you have selected English GB as the language in the Musescore app then look for "Bar numbers" in the Style menu.
But that is not the place to go to achieve what you want. Instead right click in the pick up bar (measure) and open the bar (measure) properties. Then tick Exclude from Bar (Measure) Count. See https://handbook.musescore.org/notation/rhythm-meter-and-measures/measu…
