$M in Header & Footer
When I use the $M icon in a heater or footer to be told the date of the last amendment, am I able to alter the date format. It is currently showing 2025-05-10, but I want it prefer 10/5/2025.

This depends on the language settings. For example, English (UK) shows your preferred version, but English (US) shows 5/10/25. In which language is 2025-05-10 displayed?
(At least in version 3.7)
In Mu4 it shows the date in ISO format, nothing else. That was meant to be the short term compormiseve. usingn the (IMHO completly sick) US format (MM/DD/YYYY) only
Having the date format following the user's locale (or language settings) like in Mu3 is no longer possible

Then why is YYYY-MM-DD displayed for him/her?

Because that is the ISO format

And the only truly reasonable format (says the American)

As is the British DD/MM/YYYY (where it not usong / as the divider, which causes confusion with the US format) and the (Continental) European DD.MM.YYYY. Only the US format MM/DD/YYYY lacks any sense, rhyme and rhythm, IMHO

Oh yes, I agree 100%. The US format is completely non-sensical. I feel that YYYY MM DD (with whatever dividers) is the only truly sensible order, though DD MM YYYY is not completely ridiculous.
