3.7 15va applies properly but is improper when reloaded.
In the final bar of the attached, there is a 15va applied by selecting the voice 2 NOTES and applying it. The dashed line is visible and proper.
However, when reloaded the dashed lines disappear and when the 15va is selected the beginning and end are squashed and the dashed lines are invisible.
I do not know if this is a part of 4.xxx.

What dashed line?
Whatever: same in 3.6.2 and 4.5.2, so if anything it needs to get reported for the latter
The problem seems that line is the wrong way round, it should start with the 15, not end with it, then it looks right in all 3 versions

How did you do that? :-)
It looked to me like you moved the 1st position to the left as the 15va was now beginning at the wrong point.
I just moved the whole thing over to only cover voice 2.
If there was some switch you made, please explain.
Thanks very much.

I just grabbed the handles and dragged them into position, then did a Ctrl+R on them

Now I needed to add an arpeggio to the last chord. As it is so crowded I moved the last 1/2 note closer to the end and moved the prior 1/8th note close to the beginning of the bar with the attached result.
I cannot find a way to adjust the beam to make it shorter. I tried changing all the settings on the right but they don't see to make a difference.
When I grab the handles I cannot make them move other than up and down.
Any direction please?
