Anglican Psalm notated (chant-type topic)
Finale user finally getting around to learning musescore. I'm attempting to create some four part anglican psalm chants where the lyrics are placed under the actual notes rather than through pointing. See file here "Psalm example." I've attempted the first couple of verses, and see my musescore file.
Questions--I have searched--maybe not hard enough just yet, so forgive me if this is pretty obvious to some.
1) in my score, m. 5 I want to extend the space between the word "multitude" and "of." I have clicked the word "multitude" and set the offset to -1.5--it moves the word to the left but does not make space between the words--instead it moves the note that the word is assigned to to the right--I already had the note where I wanted it!
2) I have selected the chord over the word "multitude" and offset that to the left...but it doesn't move the lyric with it.
Either way the words are mashed up against each other.
You can see that the same issues is happening on the second system.
3) In the psalm example...2nd system m.4 the text gets displaced to another line. Can this be done? I'm assuming it can happen by creating a second verse? Or is there a different (better) way?
Thank you!

To space out words try using Ctrl+spacebar, see:https://musescore.org/en/node/21522
3, if I understand, select the text and use Properties to move the verse to another line (https://handbook.musescore.org/text/lyrics#changing-verse-number-of-lyr… ).
1) and 2) Increase the value of Format / Style / Lyrics / Min. gap between syllables/words. "1.00" or so seems to be a good value for this one?
3) Select the first line of lyrics: "Righteousness and justice". Press Enter and it will give you a "second verse" for that note. Put your second row of text there.
