Instrument Playback Previews
There are a lot of instruments in MuseScore, and many composers are very particular about the playback sound in their scores. Unfortunately, the only way to hear an instrument's sound currently is to have it in your score, which can be a laborious task if you want to check several (possibly dozens) of sounds. It would be incredibly useful if, in the Instruments menu, each instrument had a button that would play a brief preview of the sound of that instrument, so composers would not have to go through the process of changing a part's assigned instrument many, many times. Below is a sketch of how I imagine such a feature would look.

I find this idea very good. I also miss this option.
Personally, I can't tell how an instrument will sound in my score from hearing it by itself.

I find the idea good, specially for people who would like to know the sound of other instruments and for learning purposes.

May or may not happen. In the meantime, you could set up a score using the instruments you might be interested in. Save it for reference.
I don't use MS4 instruments, (I don't use MuseHub and the nylon guitar in Basic Sounds doesn't suit me), but there seem to be sound previews on MuseHub, the site where you can buy the MuseScore sounds. For example:
