too many notes in measure
Hi, Nooby question,
I'm writing in 9/8 and all measures but one seem to be mathematically correct e.g. 2 dotted quarters and 3 eighth notes, but one measure insists on 2 dotted quarters and 4 eighth notes and I can't seem to change it, even by copying a correct measure over it.
It is Measure 9 in the file.
BTW, started in Finale and saved as musicXML then opened in MuseScore and saved as MuseScore file.
Options?
Thanks,
Daniel

Never mind, I figured out how to delete and re-add measures that worked. The measure in question had a small "+", not sure how it got there, but likely the cause?
Thanks!
Daniel

That was a measure with its duration alternated.

Because inserting and notes may cause the measure duration to increase or decrease beyond what is specified by the time signature, a small "+" or "-" sign will be shown above the measure when this happens.
