Cymbal chokes in playback

I'm writing a tune for front ensemble and I need the aux percussion parts to be able to choke various cymbals. I'm aware there's multiple ways to notate it but is there anyway I could get it to sound like it's actually choked in playback? I can't seem to find one. I don't think switching to muse sounds on the staff works because I need them to also play multiple instruments at once at one point, which obviously I can't do with a single instrument on the staff. Am I cooked?
