first and second repeats (Volta brackets)

I am still using Musescore 3 and need to enter a first and second repeat and the repeat options in lines only gives 1st or 2nd options and not 1.2.nd option how do I change the 1st option to 1.2. repeat

I want to repeat several bars three times and on the third time skip to the bar after the repeat bar and not play the last two bars on the third repeat, so I need to make those last two bars play on the first and second play then skip to the bar after the repeat bar line. In Sibelius you can change the first repeat bracket to read 1.2. Repeat bracket. Can you help.

Yes, you need to edit several things in the properties of the volta and the bar with the repeat sign:

  • Click on the volta 1 and edit the repeat list in 1,2 in the inspector.
  • You can change the text in 1, 2, but this is only for the musicians. It has no effect in musescore.
  • Change the repeat list of the second volta to 3 (and the text).
  • Change the bar properties of the 1st volta the play count from 2 to 3.
