Handbell Used Chart (HUC) Bleeds Over Edge of Page

OS: macOS 14.7,
Arch.: arm64,
MuseScore Studio version (64-bit): 4.5.2-251141402,
revision: ac9d3bc

I was working on revising my handbell score after I had done some formatting for layout on it (I had it previewed by a handbell choir). The first part of the revision was to make the bass staff more readable. It was originally set up as two voices. The revision of each measure consisted of the following:
a) Change the Quarter notes in the lower bass part to eighth notes
b) Move the eighth/sixteenth notes in the upper bass part from voice 2 to voice 1
c) Delete the extraneous rests left over from voice 2

You can see the before/after in the Layout_Orig and Layout_New_Page screenshots that I uploaded. In the middle of the process, I changed to horizontal view from page view because the measures were jumping all over the place as a result of this process (there was about 30 measures worth that I had to do). When I switched back to page view, I got the HUC that you see in the Layout_New_Page screenshots.

At this point, I'm aware that something happened during the process that caused this behavior. I'm not as concerned about that (although there may be other people who are). You can see the full result in the Layout_New_ContVert screenshot with how far the staff went off the edge of the page. The Layout_New_ContHoriz screenshot shows it looking fairly normal.

My main concern is getting that HUC staff to fit completely on the page again. I'm aware that the only solution will be to delete the measure an re-enter it but I wanted to see if there's something else that can be done. I was unable to find anything when searching the manual, but that could be do to ignorance on how to search for something like this.

Select that measure and press Ctrl+R to reset all the settings for notes therein. If that doesn't work, I recommend attaching your score (.MSCZ file) to the thread so we can look at the real thing. Images don't help much.

You had several frames (one text frame and two horizontal frames) rather than just one (presumably?) to indent that HUC measure. I deleted them and simply turned on Format / Style / Score / Enable indentation on first system. Then used a System Break at the end to indent the first system of actual music as well.

I wondered why you used multiple tuplets to show your notes in the HUC. I would have used a single tuplet in each staff so the notes would be evenly spaced. I demonstrated this for you.

In addition, I turned off Format / Style / Clefs, key, & time signatures / Key signatures / Show courtesy key signature to remove that from the HUC.

AngelsBlue-2.mscz

[A few moments later] AHA! I hadn't looked at AngelBlue_Orig.mscz at first. Now I see what that second horizontal frame was supposed to do: indent the right end of the HUC as well as the left. That was the problem then. It had a width of 80-something rather than 5 or so. So delete those frames and replace them with correct widths. That should do the job for you.

The reason for multiple tuples is that it's a 4/4 measure, and I was trying to spread the notes out evenly over the measure. Doing some quick math led me to those weird tuples. It was what I came up for at the time. I'll take a look at the frames and put in the correct widths. Thanks!

A single tuplet of ... what was it? 19:4 on top and 11:4 on bottom? ... did what you wanted. (If you look at the score I posted, you'll see the details.)

For more info about tuplets, read the Handbook section on them: https://handbook.musescore.org/notation/rhythm-meter-and-measures/tuple…. In particular, the section titled Custom Tuplets (https://handbook.musescore.org/notation/rhythm-meter-and-measures/tuple…)
