4.5.2 MIDI output creating hanging notes
I have reported this since V4 started.
Occasionally the MIDI out put of an instrument after a tie will continue to tie the note indefinitely causing the machine reading the MIDI to have a note indefinitely. I have found this problem very difficult to work around and usually forces me to manually perform/record the measures on the receiving device. Examples provided (in addition to the previously provided examples and complaint.

One of the screenshots displays how the instrument extraction from the score looks like and what the MIDI file looks like re-imported into Muse. Notice after the tied note there is rest after the note, but in the MID that tied not continues to be tied indefinitely destroying the remainder of the instrument performance all the way to the end.

The apparent root cause of this is note durations over two beats (> half notes) causes the MIDI export to create infinite ties of the note. The temporary solution is to create TIES for everything over 2 beats using smaller beats. This multiplies the work by triple as two score versions have to be created- one for MIDI output and another for readability. Every long note has to be created multiple times and tied together. A forbiddingly daunting effort. Three beats have to be 1/2+1/4, Two whole notes tied have to be 4 1/2 notes tied, etc.
These MIDI errors play as hung notes on the receiving machine.

These hung notes caused by infinite ties on MIDI output are very frustrating. Trying to write in different ways paying close attention to voice assignment and flag direction is not working in weeks of trying.
See attached.
Version ...A image is the measure from the score.
Version ...B image is the MIDI output file re-imported back into Muse.
When the MIDI file is played on the synth it sounds as written with the top note tied continuously until the end of the file.

Part of the problem here is that here and in your original post, you only give us images. They don't help much. We need midi and mscz files. Before during and after.
I have been seeing more posts about midi return problems that MU3 did not have.
I sort of understand your notation where you have a dotted 1/4 note as a triplet, over a 1/4 note triplet. It works, but is it needed?

This is just one attempt to write these kinds of measures without creating multiple midi channels for each "voice" wasting channels. The problem seems complex as voices appear to get added and dropped, notes get added to a voice, and the ties. If you are one of the devs on the MU3 or MIDI used for Muse I'll work with you to send the files. Looking at past posts of similar problems might indicate I'm trying different way to write around the issue without success. I have the score and midi exports. What I've shown in the several attachments is reading the MIDI back into Muse so I can visualize the errors.
There was nothing "needed" in the writing style, Just an attempt to write the measure in one of several ways. No matter how I structure it the result is the same.

There are no devs on the forums. You might check on Github to see if anything is being done about this.
You can of course input notes with a midi keyboard. But doing anything with a midi file afterwards can be a toss-up. Excessive ties can be a problem no matter what. And Muse sounds vs Basic sounds can be a problem also.

Not quite, there are some
