More help please
How do I go about entering this type of repetition and n the attached image? I’ve tried the 1./2. With the horizontal brackets, but that didn’t work too well.
I’ve got the de al fine, and the Fine in place, along with the start point.

That picture makes nothing clearer as we don't see the context. There is nothing in the picture that indicates a repetition.
A more detailed explanation of what you are trying to do is needed and also your score (.mscz file) so that we can see your attempt to make it work.
I think I understand what you are trying to do (and if I understand it correctly, you're going about it the wrong way entirely), but if I have not understood you and describe what I think the situation is, that will make you even MORE confused than you already are.
As Steve said, please attach your score file (.MSCZ) and describe in EXCRUCIATING DETAIL exactly where your question happens in that score and exactly what you want to do with it.

Hello, Thank you for the help so far, sorry I didn't include enough info. I've attached the original and also my musescore attempt. Hopefully this will make it all a bit clearer.
I have tried to remove the 2. in the second repeat, but it didn't see to want to let me do that. I realise it's not really a repeat, but I couldn't see hw else to go about it.
Thanks for helping out, again.

This is an unusual notation. A volta always includes a end repeat bar line.
It was probably meant that way:

Thank you for that. I see what you have done, and it works really well.
Is there a way in MuseScore of having it as written? Go through the tune missing out the Fine bar first time, and finishing at the Fine the second time. It does say in the original to skip “to next strain” first time through. Or, is this written version possibly aimed at sight readers?

Although it's (strictly speaking) incorrect notation, a human musician will understand what's going on. The application can't. @HildeK's version might be correct, or this (Garryowen 2.mscz) might be how it's supposed to be?

Thank you for your reply, and taking the time to amend the score. Unfortunately I can't open it as I have an older version of Musescore, as my MacBook is quite old and can't take newer versions of the OS.

You should be able to open this:

Hi, Thank you, that's worked just fine. That's a neat solution.

Thanks, @HildeK. I don't have an older version any more so could not have provided that.
@raybarclay :: I'm not sure whether the song is supposed to be AABA (@HildeK's solution) or just ABA (mine). Use whichever is best for you.
