How to disable "cancel outgoing key signature"?
Hello everyone. Finale refugee here. Thanks for having me.
In MS Studio 4.5, when I change key signatures from F to C, it automatically inserts a natural sign in the key signature. See my screenshot for example.
I want to disable this feature. I want line 114 to show the C Major key signature with nothing written there. Can I do that somehow?
I know I can select the natural sign and hit V to turn it invisible. The problem is that just hides the key signature completely, so if I replace / change instruments from clarinet to flute, the flute key signature will also be invisible. I do not want that.
For context, I am a middle school band teacher and I am writing melody lines for my students to play.
In Finale, I could do this through Document Options >> disable "cancel outgoing key signature".
Thanks!

"I am writing melody lines for my students to play"
What would be appropriate here is to use section breaks ("Layout" palette, third symbol)
Enter your melody, say in F. Add a section break at the end. Then change the key signature to the next measure (that of another melody) and so on.

There are also options for where and whether to show courtesy clefs and time/key signatures in Format>Style>Clef, key & time signatures. You have to scroll to the bottom of that dialogue to see them
