How to add Voltas at the beginning of a repetition
I want the beginning of a repetition to start with two different notes, one for the first time its played and 1 for the second time. I have tried several different approaches which I uploaded here. Non of them worked with the Midi Player which either didn't start the repetition at all, or played both variants of the measure.

That doesn't work! None of the three examples work. Except maybe example3, which would almost work if you hadn't used D.S. al Coda, but only D.S.! (Maybe...).
The voltas are alternate endings and not alternate beginnings!
You have to arrange the measures differently. In Example1, take out 2nd measure and insert it before measure 14; after the end repeat bar line; including volta 2. And then place the 1st volta on the measure with the end repeat bar line.

It's a little different to how I described it from memory. Now I have tested it, see attachment.
