transposing a score
I am trying to transpose a string quarter score for a saxophone quartet. All the strings are playing in concert Bb, but I need the saxes to play in C (for soprano and tenor) and in G (for alto and bari). I don't seem to be able to simply change the instruments and have that change flow through to the key signatures for the different horns. I would appreciate any help.

Hard to tell you what to do when it just works for me, but here is a blank score if it helps you.
Where and how are you changing the instrument? If you do it in the mixer you are only changing the sound. If you change thr instrument in the staff properties or using an Instrument change then you are changing everything Musescore "knows" about the instrument, what type of staff and clef to use, its usable pitch range etc., and more importantly for your question, the transposition.
