Playback pitch is higher than notes written
I play a Eb Tenor Horn (Alto Horn) yet I cant play along with the music I have entered as it plays at a higher pitch than the notes input. If anyone is able to help correct this and explain what I have done wrong I would be grateful.

You've got the score set to display in concert pitch.

Can you attached a copy of you're source material ?
There are several things that could have gone wrong including entering the notes as shown on the Eb Horn part but mistakenly being in concert pitch mode.

The source was a scan from the original part using Scan Score, sadly it had many errors so I had to re enter and correct most bars manually. However, I have attached the source.

Yes it's as I thought. Eb Horn is a transposing instrument and you've entered the Eb Horn part in concert pitch mode. The Eb horn part is written in C major (concert pitch Eb Major).
The easiest way to correct is to transpose the whole piece into Eb Major (down) and then display it with concert pitch turned off.

In future make sure concert pitch is turned off if entering notes as shown off a transposing instrument part.

Is this (Horn Part.pdf) really written for a horn in Eb? Not for a horn in F, which is normally in the score?
Then it is two semitones higher for the Eb horn ...

On the PDF sheet there stands only "Solo Horn". This can be a horn in F, in Eb or may be a Tenor horn in Bb.
In the Wiki article “French Horn” it is also noted: "since the 1930s known simply as the horn in professional music circles". Like the instrument name in the PDF ...
But it is not easy to distinguish between German, American and English instrument names ...

The OP has an Eb Horn and wants to enter the music from the pdf and play along while Musescore plays the notes. Therefore Musescore has to be told to transpose in Eb. Any other type of horn is a red herring (which is a completely different kettle of fish).
