When I copy and paste measures, the program transposes some chord names to another chord. For example, when I copied two measures where the chords were Gmaj7, Cmaj7, it turns the Gmaj7 into an Amaj7, but leaves the Cmaj7 alone. When I click on the Amaj7 to edit it, it shows A??maj7. Sometimes when it does this it will show a double flat or double sharp when I click on the transposed chord. It does it whether I type the chord, or create it with the menu.

On the opposite side, when I transpose the whole score, it skips some of the typed chords and leaves them in the original key. At first I thought it might only be chords with a lot of elements, but it's not. It just seems random.

Which version are you using ? Read [[nodetitle:How to report bug or ask for support]]

For the second problem, MuseScore transposes only the chordname it recognizes as chordnames. So it will not transpose "Cfoo" for example. The list of recognized extensions is available with right click on a chord, Chordname Properties

I am using version 0.9.5 with Windows XP SP3.

With the copy and paste issue. The first few times it happened, I was selecting 2 or more measures by clicking the first note and shift-clicking the last note, then either using the drop down menu or ctrl C and pasting them a few measures later in the score. As I described, the Cmaj7 copied properly, but the Gmaj7 became an Amaj7, which, when I clicked into it, showed A??maj7 with the 2 ??s. I tried it several different ways. I closed and reopened the document. I created a new document and had the same issue. I tried copying just one measure and I kept getting the same issue (in between crashing several times). Finally on the 4th or 5th new document, it copied a Gmaj7 as a Gmaj 7. I didn't do anything differently. I managed to get through a 2 page score with it copying correctly. Then I opened a new document with 1 voice staff, selected the first rest, attached a Gmaj7 chord, selected that measure and copied it to the next measure and it became an Amaj7 again. I tried selecting the whole next measure, and also just selecting the next rest before pasting, but both ways it converted to Amaj7.

It's not only Gmaj7. I had the same issue with some other chords yesterday. That just happens to be the one affected today.

For the other issue when transposing the whole score, in one example, it transposed everything except the Bm7s all the way through the score, and that's a pretty standard chord.

So if the correction is in release 0.9.6 and the current download is 0.9.5, does that mean the correction will be in the next release, or is 0.9.6 available now?

Thanks!
