Fixes

  • Playback tempo was incorrect when working in continuous view

Important notes

  • Sticking feature is incompatible with previous versions of Musescore which means the sticking text won’t be rendered in earlier versions of Musescore
  • We are developing a solution to support official builds for macOS 10.10 and 10.11

Kommentit

Does this update include fixes to MDL because there has been playback issues recently where the volume of each note is different. Also it sometimes will skip over notes and not play them completely. This is only an issue with the drum line extension and I'm not sure if it's just me or a major issue other people are having. Thanks in advance for your response.

I love Musescore, and am tremendously grateful to see a community-driven program reach ever-higher levels of quality, but (with all due respect to those that worked on it) that new logo is in dire need of fixing. I'm assuming it's a modified variant of Helvetica Neue, as all the characteristics appear the same as the old font, but the combination of the heavier weight and the rounding makes it look dated, and really highlights the awkward curved line connecting the m and the u. Plus, even though this might just be a result of the heavier weight, it looks like the entire thing was compressed horizontally, making the c and o just look stretched out vertically. If I had to guess, I'd say this is an attempt to look more like Sibelius' latest logo, albeit a somewhat misguided one.

With that being said, the software itself functions better than ever for me and my (admittedly simple) usecase. I've been able to get 3.x running smoothly on my personal laptop, work desktop (thanks to the portable nature of the nightlies), and even on my Chromebook (even though playback doesn't work quite right, due to the VM not running at 100% real speed). I look forward to checking out the fixes and improvements in 3.2, and congratulate the devs and designers on their latest achievements.

Not that I miss it very much, but I report that the start center is still black, at least on my system (W7, i7 6GB RAM). Moving the mouse pointer inside the window at certain positions it turns into a hand, so the functionality may be there but it is impossible to know what is going to happen (unless one is seeing the handbook figure).
