How to create a score for an alto sax chorus using BIAB and the free MuseScore 2 editing tool --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Open BIAB, Set Options->preferences->arrange->concert pitch adjust->+3 2. Enter the chords, tempo, style 3. Click on the icon tool, mid and save *chords_from_BB.mid 4. Save chords in an sgu file 5. Close BIAB 6. Open MuseScore 2 7. Select file->open *chords_from_BB.mid 8. Select edition->instruments 9. Add alto sax line. Remove visibility of lines for all other instruments played in the chords 10. Now the scores for all these other instruments are no longer seen but only heard when played by MuseScore 2 11. Edit the chorus to the alto sax line, play it along with the chords, and modify if needed 12. Export score to a pdf file for printing 13. Save alto sax chorus and chords in an mscz file How to create a quality mp3 file -------------------------------- On MuseScore: 1. Open mscz file from above 2. Export midi file *from_MuseScore_for_mp3.mid 3. Close MuseScore On BIAB: 1. Open BIAB. Set Options->preferences->arrange->concert pitch adjust->0 2. Open *from_MuseScore_for_mp3.mid 3. Eventually modify the tempo 4. Connect PC line out to line in of Zoom recorder 5. Play sax chorus and chords on BIAB after pressing record on Zoom recorder 6. Finish recording, close BIAB 7. Connect USB interface from Zoom recorder to get the mp3 file on the PC
