Left and Fingering

Hi
I can not put left finger number direct near the Note. Wenn I try tu put near note ,it gose top of the Note like right hand fingerin.. Then I have to plase it near the note. But it takes time. At the oldur versions I could do it. Could you help me please how I can put the left hand finger number near the Note which I have chosen.
