Exported midi format - Question about note on, note off
I am working with(parsing) midi files exported from musescore and noticed that in place of note off events, there are note on events with velocity 0. While that works just fine, I haven't seen it anywhere else. Maybe thats just me. What is the rationale behind that? Just out of curiousity.

A note on event with velocity zero has been a common way of denoting note off events since the very beginnings of MIDI. Not sure why that convention developed, but it's quite common.
