Selecing/editing a note behind a different voice

• Sep 3, 2011 - 19:38

In the attached example file, there are four notes, but two voices with the same four notes. I want to split the 4 connected notes into two pairs. I can split one of those by dropping a "Start beam" (In the Beam Properties palette) on top of the third note.

My problem is that I'm only able to do this for voice 1. Can't figure out how to get to the second voice, since it's hidden behind the first. What can I do here?

Click on a notehead, press up or down arrow key twice, make your beam adjustment (you can double click in the beam properties palette), press down or up arrow key twice again.
