How to end a slur

When using the keyboard, is there a better way to end a slur than to press esc to exit note input mode, and then N to go back in?

Feel it would be nice if when a slur is active, the escape key first just ended that. Then I could press it again if I wanted to exit note input mode.

It depends how you enter the slur in the first place. I guess you used S. If yes, for 3 quarters, C D E and a slur spanning the 3 notes :

  1. Select a rest
  2. Press N
  3. Press 5
  4. Press C
  5. Press S to start the slur
  6. Press D, E
  7. Press S again to stop the slur
