"Create parts" leads to crash
Hi! For my music technology class we have been given a score from a jazz band song to recreate in musescore. I have completely input the entire score and am nearly done with the project. All I have to do is print the full score and individual parts for each instrument.
However, every time I try and follow the directions in the part extraction section of the online manual the whole of musescore crashes immediately and I am forced to restart.
What is causing the crash? Am I trying to create the different part scores incorrectly?

Remove the voltas for staves > 1, and the parts should export without crash.
Yes, it's the voltas in the voice part that trigger this. BTW, I see you are using slash notation in the rhythm section. You did a good job of creating that by hand by changing note heads and hiding stems, but I thought I'd add that you can also mark the notes stemless the same way you can change their heads - via the Note Properties dialog (right click menu). That's also where you can set them to be silent. But even simpler - check out the Slash Notation Styles plugin (see Plugins in the menu at right of this page).

Ooo, I didn't know about plugins for musescore, that'd make it a lot more simple. And actually, I luckily didn't have to change note heads at all for the drum part, it all came out in slash notation and I only had to go and "select all similar in this staff" after clicking on one stem. Then right click and select "make invisible."
I will, however, remember the plugin if I ever have to use musescore again. I will definitely try and use it in my classroom once I have my degree.
Thanks for the help!
