Delete initial time signature
It is not possible to delete the initial time signature, an error message pops up to say that this is not allowed.
However, when deleting the entire first measure, the time signature is gone.
Happens in 1.2 and the most recent nigntly build.

I call it a bug that the time signature is deleted when deleting the first measure, but I would like there to be a supported methid of deleting the initial time signature if desired.

100% agree.
How about deleting 1st measure moves initial tme sig to next measure and deleting time sig directly results in a dialog asking for confirmation?

That's what I had in mind, but chen lung's suggestion of it being a measure properties option makes a lot of sense, too - probably more so.
How about this:
You right-click the bar and in either 'Stave/Measure Properties', there is a tickbox for determining the clef's visibility.

And marking it (the time sig!) invisible would cause it to still use space.
But measure property makes sense, and not only for the first measure.

You can already mark it invisible-but-still-taking-space without the need for the measure property. I would assume the new property would suppress it more completely. And I could see there being options for clefs, time signatures, and key signatures, and yes, not just for the first measure.
