I have a score with three parts: violin, viola and cello. Parts are all nearly identical. Only "unusual" feature is a grace note, but it appears on all three parts. If I use the Parts... dialog to create parts, I can click on the tab for the violin part, but for the viola and cello I get:

mscore.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

AppName: mscore.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: mscore.exe
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0042491e

Installed Unison.SF2 for playback, but otherwise running stable version 0.9.4 without any mods or tweaks.

Windows XP SP3 installed on a Dell Vostro 410.

Tried removing the grace notes from the score but the problem persists.
Also tried changing the order of the instruments in the Instruments... dialog. Hypothesis: Parts only works for the top-most instrument on the score. Conclusion: Order of instruments not a factor. Violin part still works but Viola and Cello crash the software.

I seem to be having the same problem. I created a 5 part score, 4 vocals plus organ. I followed the online instructions, several times, and get the same result. after defining the parts, closing then returning to File>Parts, my computer crashes, ie, stops working with an error message that Musescore has stopped operating and must close. i use Win7 and have the latest version of Musescore. Any suggestions?

spelesho, it could be any number of things causing your particular crash. Feel free to post a copy of your score with a description of the problem in the Forums .

The "issue tracker" is for tracking bugs and mistakes in the latest development builds of MuseScore. So the focus for this corner of the website tends to be on improving future versions of MuseScore rather than helping current users. If you are feeling adventurous, you can test whether the crash still occurs for your score in the latest nighty builds of MuseScore.
