Tablature only appears in part of Guitar Pro file

This was recently closed: #21936: [Guitar Pro] Only part has tablature

However, I'm not sure I agree with this decision and wanted to know opinions.

AFAIK, there is no concept of parts or full score or tablature vs standard notation in a Guitar Pro file. So when MuseScore opens such a file, it needs to make some choice.
The current choice is to create

  1. a full score with standard notation for each instrument
  2. a part per instrument and for each part except drums, create a standard staff and a linked tablature staff, using tuning configuration from the GP file if any.

This is a choice, and one might agree or disagree with it. But if you disagree (or are not sure you agree), you need to explain what would be a better choice according to you.
