MuseScore doesn't allow thick and thin brackets on the same system

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create New Score and choose "Chamber Orchestra" template
2. Delete curly brace from horn staves
3. Drag thin square bracket to the first horn staff

Expected behavior: Thin square bracket should be added to the horn staff.

Actual behavior: Thick square bracket shrinks down to the first horn staff, and the thin bracket doesn't appear anywhere.

More weirdness happens if you continue after the three steps above:
4. Select and delete the thick square bracket that shrunk to the first horn staff
5. Add a thin square bracket to the first horn staff
6. Double click the thin square bracket

Expected behavior: The edit mode handle should appear

Actual behavior: The edit mode handle does not appear

Also note that Edit > Undo is broken at this point.
