Polish translation - done.

• Aug 20, 2009 - 22:02

Hi,
I've finished polish translation of MuseScore - here I send you the file.
I've tested it and I think everything is OK.
Now I would like to start with a web site - could you please give me a hint
how to do this?

Hi perotinus,

Your Polish translation has been committed to the repository. It will be available in the next MuseScore prerelease.

Regarding the website: the Polish language is now enabled and ready for translation. The first thing to do is typically translate the teaser:

  • Go to http://www.musescore.org/pl/node/1
  • Click on the translate/Tłumaczenia tab and click to add the Polish translation
  • Change all the English words for the Polish translation but leave in the special markup (html, ...)
  • Once finished hit the Submit button and check your work on http://www.musescore.org/pl

It's exactly the same workflow for all the other websites pages. It's best to start translating the menu pages and then move on to the handbook pages. Regarding the menu pages: once translated, they wont show up in the menu yet. I will add them in manually.

Last thing: could you translate these strings and leave the translation in a comment?

  • Free music composition & notation software
  • Free Download
  • Version 0.9.5
  • Licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license, 2002-2009 Werner Schweer and others
  • handbook

That's all! Thanks a lot again for your contribution.

Looking good! http://www.musescore.org/pl Two menu pages are finished, so you're on the right track.

One more tip: you can find a list of all the menu + handbook pages which are translatable this list. You can reach this translation status page via your administer menu -> translator assignments.

One more thing: don't forget to let me know what the translation is for the 5 strings which I left in the end of a previous comment. These strings can only be translated by myself and for the moment, I used Google translate to get some sort of translation. You can see it in the header of the website (slogan + download button). Don't know whether it is good enough.
