Open Constructive Review for arrangements, improv, composition, etc.

• Jun 20, 2014 - 16:11

Hey, everyone! My name is Phoenix DeFalco. You may have seen my reviews of pieces, with ratings and constructive comments, on several pieces before. Well, now I've decided to take it a step further. If you are brave enough to have your musical efforts judged and are open to receiving suggestions to help you improve your work, you can post a link here, and I'll review any musical piece you wish to have reviewed. If you have a piece that you really like, but just can't seem to find that missing element to put it a step above the rest, or if you've put in a lot of effort into a song and you just can't seem to figure out what is missing, or are stuck, I can help. I've been writing, arranging, and playing music since I was in third grade. I'm now almost 22 years old, and music is literally my whole world. I love the sounds of beautiful, powerful music, and dream of sharing that love with the world. After all, someone once said "Music is what feelings sound like." (author unknown.) I also believe that anything can be said with music, because "Where words fail, music speaks." (author unknown.) So if you're feeling brave enough to let me review a bit of music you've worked on, I invite you to post a link here. But keep in mind, although I have nearly 12 years of experience, that does not mean that my word is law. Music, like art, is all about interpretation. If you read my review and decide you like what you've produced better without the suggested edits listed in my review, you don't have to change it. It is, after all, YOUR piece. Anyway, I think I'm done rambling now. Happy sharing!
