Unison Drumline parts (Bass Drum)
As the title suggests, would it be possible for there to be an addition to the marching bass drums for their to be unison hits and unison clicks?
As someone who composes for drumline, it would make things a lot easier and a lot prettier.
Thanks

Not sure exactly how you would want that to work, but you can create unisions by adding more notes to the chord (eg, press Shift while adding a note).

It would come out a slash like it does in Finale and Sibelius. It will also be a louder hit and consist of all the basses. I understand there's a way to do it on Musescore, I'm just asking that this feature becomes a default for bass drum compositions.

Yeah, whenever you have a 5-line bass drum part, unison hits and clicks and what not are notated by a large slash notehead. I still can't figure out how to do it, as it won't let me change the notehead for marching bass drums.

On a percussion staff, the only way to change the head is to edit the drumset. You can add a note with the proper head and then define the sound you want for it. Here is a list of all the GM defined sounds https://www.midi.org/specifications-old/item/gm-level-1-sound-set. The percussion sounds, that can be used in the drumset, are at the bottom of the page.

We are currently working on MuseScore Drumline, an expansion pack for MuseScore that should soon be available with the release of 2.3.
This pack not only includes a new marching percussion soundfont, but takes advantage of all the new percussion notation options in 2.3.
There will be slash notated unison hits (with separate unison samples) as well as unison rims, buzzes, rolls and more. There are also 10 bass drums. :-)
Here is an example recording of a test with the new MDL package - https://soundcloud.com/musescorelabs/mdl-test-023-alpha-bassline

I love it :D

If you put all 4 or 5 notes it would look weird and a unison would save room and look better
Here is a notation example using MuseScore 2.3 + MDL with bass splits
I have also attached the notation reference for Bass Drums. There is still a bug with saving stem buzz to PDF. In software or print it renders correctly (see below).
In terms of unison, there are unison hits, which are slashed and unison rims, which as slashed with stem down.

Yo this is exactly what musescore has been needing. Absolutely elated to see this. Any estimate on when it'll come out? I want to notate cadences for my drumline this summer
