Prefernces were owerwritten by new version
Hi,
The old preferences (0.9.4) were overwritten without any notice during installation of the new version (0.9.5).

The old preferences should continue to apply when you install version 0.9.5. Is this not what you experienced? What operating system are you using?

HI,
I am using Windows Vista Enterprise +SP1.
I can spot three-four items which were overwritten:
- the Soundfont settings in I/O
- the shortcuts (in Hungary the H note is used instead note B)
- in the General section the working directory and maybe the program start options
Are the ini files compatible between these versions? I will do the same upgrade on a Windows XP machine soon.

Hi,
The preferences were overwritten during upgrade from 0.9.4 to 0.9.5 on Windows XP Home edition (Hungarian version +SP3) machine as well.
So it's looks that is a general fault and it has nothing to do with the used OS.

I was mistaken. Version 0.9.4 reads and saves its preferences in the the Windows registry. Version 0.9.5 saves its preferences in an ".ini" file. Version 0.9.5 does not read the preferences from 0.9.4 or earlier if you are using Windows.
