Anglican Chant Sheet music creator

I have been using Musescore to enter Psalms into Anglican chant tunes to generate scores of the Psalms. This is to introduce protestant folks who have no Psalm singing heritage, to chant in a way they easily understand. Every time I want to generate the Psalm with a new tune I have to enter the whole text again even though the form is the same for all the tunes.

I had this idea that a program could be developed with which you enter the pointed texts and enter tunes separately. The texts and tunes would be interchangeable so you could just chose a Psalm and what tune you want to sing it to. The program would integrate the two and generate a hymn like score.

The same could be done for metered Psalms and metered tunes. Of course they would only be interchangeable within the proper meter.

Is this something Musescore might consider developing and publishing?

It's almost possible already I believe and will be even more with next version.

1/ Create a score with the tune only, no lyrics. Save it. Repeat for all tunes.
2/ Create a text file with the lyrics, hyphenate it manually or use http://juiciobrennan.com/hyphenator/. Do it for as many text you want.
3/ Choose a text file and a score file, open them. One in MuseScore and one in a text editor. Select the text, copy. Then select the first note in MuseScore, press Ctrl + L and paste, paste, paste until the end.

In MuseScore 1.3, you will need to be careful and insert the - and _ yourself while copying. In 2.0 it will be bit better. See #7885: Lyric pasting should break at hyphens

I'm thinking that if the text files were pointed with a | to divide lyrical measures, and a dot to divide between notes of a measure, then the software could be programmed to recognize these as advancing to the next measure and the next note so the texts and tunes could be integrated automatically. (Of course any symbols not usually used in lyrics could be used, it is just that these are traditionally used for chant. Naturally, these whould not be visible in the lyrics once integrated into the tunes).

Would this be very involved?
Would this be a feature Musescore might consider worth adding?
