Change pan setting for individual notes/bars?

• Nov 9, 2019 - 16:41

I would like a bar to be played only on the right channel, the next bar on the left, and the rest in the middle. How can I do that, when I change the settings in the mixer, it applies it for the whole song.

You need multiple instruments to do this just like you would in a real environment. If you mean you literally want every other measure coming from a different location, then the method of hiding instruments can get complicated. If you mean you want a few measures at a time from each location then using Format->Style check Hide empty staves will work if you put the system breaks in the correct spot.

Thank you for the answer, but I found something even easier. I added 2 more instruments (piano, in total 3). Then added 2 parts. I deleted from both parts everything I didn't need, and I just use the 1st part for the left panning, the 2nd part for the right panning, and the main for the 64 panning.

This is some of the dreamed things some guys have asked, since a while.

But... We don't have a direct solution, by now.

BTW: If you export all your instruments (separately) as AUDIO (wav or mp3), and you handle it with an external audio software (AUDACITY, as example), then you will be able to get this and a lot of other audio mixing world things.
