Easier 4 part writing
Hello, I had an idea when I was writing music this morning for church. In the process of trying to write 4 part hymn style (for lack of a better term) piano music for the upcoming mass, and switching through layers on the treble and bass staffs, I was thinking it would be really cool if there was an option to have all 4 layers available at once, on however many measures in a row desired, instead of being limited to just writing one line at a time, or having to highlight parts that you want to change and so forth. Having each layer available simultaneously.

We don't have anything called "layers", or that acts like PhotoShop's "layers" (sometimes I wish we did). All voices in all staves are always visible. Writing SATB hymn settings, on 4 staves or on the traditional 2 staves, is very easy. Maybe https://musescore.org/en/handbook/voices will be of some help.

Maybe you're trying to edit the four split-out parts individually instead of editing the score? If you edit the score (where all the parts are together), the separate parts will update automatically.
