Lyrical phrase with a whole note
Say you have a measure filled with a single whole note. You need to add a lyric to that measure that consists of several words. You type the first word followed by a space, the cursor jumps to the next note or in this case the next measure. Is there a way to enter the whole phrase with spaces between the words onto the whole note?

Use Ctrl+Space, just as the handbook mentions, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/lyrics#special-characters
I don't know the particular reason you wish to do this, but it's a common notation for unmeasured chant, as used in the Anglican and Orthodox traditions: by default Musescore will center the whole pharse under the whole note--but this can be adjusted using the F8 inspector.
