Musescore can't get past crash report option.

Musescore 'crashed' when I was away from the screen.
When I try to open it the window says " unexpected crash, did I want to restore previous version". It doesn't matter if I click "yes" or "cancel" , it just goes back to desktop.
I have uninstalled version 3.5 and reloaded it - no improvement!
